Jan Philip Schulze

Jan Philip Schulz received his piano instruction from Klaus Schilde and Michael Schäfer at the music conservatory in Munich and from Lev Naumov at the Moscow Tschaikowsky Conservatory.
He is a prize-winner of international competitions in Italy, Spain and South Africa. He has often been awarded special prizes for his outstanding interpretations of contemporary music.
His versatile concert activity takes him, as soloist, vocal accompanist and chamber musician, to many of the festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein-Festival, The Munich and Zagreb Biennials, the "Schubertiade" in Feldbusch and to the famous concert halls such as the "Theatre du Chalet" in Paris, The National Auditorium in Madrid and The Scala in Milan.

In addition, he conducts a class of song interpretation at the Munich Conservatory of Music and as a guest instructor, teaches master classes in Italy, Spain, South Korea and the Ukraine.

He has recorded several compact discs with Andrea Lieberknecht and the ARCIS Quintett, one of which, "The Piano Sextette from France", won the German Record Review Prize.
