Admission to studies is only at the beginning of the winter semester.
The application deadline for the entrance audition is March 31st. The entrance auditions will take place from June 14th to 19th 2011.

In the registration form (Anmeldeformular für Flöte) you should fill in the name of the teacher you would like to study with, here: “Lehrerwunsch im Hauptfach”
Audition requirements for Flute:
Prestudy and Bachelor of Music beginning from the 1st or 3rd semester:
- One sonata or fantasy from the Baroque, solo or with piano accompaniment
- Two movements from a classical or early-classical concert
- One work from a different period by your own choice
- One Etüde
Please choose one work from this list to be played from memory!
- Scales and chords
- Sight reading
The audition will take about 15 minutes.
In addition it will be examinations in the following fields:
- Written examinations in general musical knowledge (ca. 60 min.).
- Written examination in hearing (ca. 60 min.)
- Oral examination in hearing (ca. 10 min.)
- Piano playing (ca. 10 min.)
Artistic Diploma (Künstlerisches Diplom) beginning from the 5th or 7th semester:
- One etude
- One movement from a Mozart Concert
- One movement from a concert from another period
- One movement or one composition for flute solo

- Scales and chords through 3 octaves and different articulations
- sight-reading
The audition will take about 15 minutes.
For the candidates who will begin with the 5th semester it will be additional examinations:
- Written and oral examinations in hearing (ca. 1 hour).
- Written examination in Music Theory (ca. 4 hours).
- Piano playing (ca. 10 min.).
For the candidates who will begin from the 7th semester, there are no additional examinations.
Master of Music beginning from the 1st semester, and postgraduate studies (Aufbaustudium) from the 3rd semester:
- 2 Solopieces: one of JS Bach or CPE Bach
- 2 concerts: one of Mozart, one from a different period
- 2 virtuoso Pieces
- 2 pieces from different periods
- 1 work composed after 1945
